How we collect, use, and protect your information.

Effective Date: April 21, 2025

Welcome to One Click Immigration ("OCI", "we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit oneclickimmigration.com (the "Site") and use our services — including booking consultations with immigration attorneys and experts, participating in community forums, and interacting with AI-assisted features.

By using our Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Personal Information

When you create an account or book a consultation, we may collect:

  • Full name and email address
  • Phone number
  • Immigration status details and case-related information you share
  • Company name (if applicable)

1.2 Payment Information

We use Stripe to process all payments securely. We do not store your full credit or debit card details on our servers. Stripe handles and stores payment information in compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).

For attorneys and experts registering to receive payments, Stripe may collect bank account details on our behalf. We do not store bank account information on our own servers.

1.3 Community and Forum Content

If you participate in our community forum (OCIVerse), we collect and store the content you post, including questions, comments, and replies. This content may be visible to other users of the platform. Please avoid sharing sensitive personal or immigration case details in public forum posts.

1.4 Usage Data

We automatically collect certain technical information when you use our Site, including:

  • IP address and approximate location
  • Browser type and version
  • Device and operating system
  • Pages visited, time spent, and navigation patterns

1.5 Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and analyse Site usage. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect Site functionality.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account and consultation bookings
  • Process payments and facilitate attorney/expert payouts
  • Communicate with you about your bookings, case status, and platform updates
  • Provide customer support and respond to enquiries
  • Improve our platform, features, and services
  • Generate AI-assisted summaries of community discussions (see Section 5)
  • Send you marketing communications where you have opted in (you may opt out at any time)
  • Detect fraud, abuse, and security threats
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it in the following circumstances:

  • With Service Providers: We share information with trusted third-party vendors who help us operate the Site, process payments, deliver emails, and provide analytics. These parties are contractually required to protect your data.
  • With Attorneys and Experts: When you book a consultation, relevant booking details (name, email, and context you provide) are shared with the attorney or expert you are engaging.
  • For Legal Compliance: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of our business, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information is subject to a different privacy policy.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We work with the following categories of third-party services, each operating under their own privacy policies:

  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Anthropic (Claude AI) — AI-assisted community features (see Section 5)
  • Google / OAuth providers — optional social login
  • Email service providers — transactional and marketing emails
  • Analytics tools — Site usage analysis

5. Artificial Intelligence Features

OCI uses AI to enhance certain platform features, including generating summaries of community forum discussions. These summaries are produced using the Anthropic Claude API. When a forum thread is summarised:

  • The post title, body, and a selection of comments are sent to Anthropic's API
  • No personally identifiable information beyond what appears in the public post is transmitted
  • Anthropic's data handling is governed by their own Privacy Policy

We do not use your personal case information or private messages to train AI models.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Specifically:

  • Account data is retained until you request deletion of your account
  • Booking and payment records are retained for up to 7 years for financial and legal compliance purposes
  • Community content may remain visible after account deletion unless you specifically request its removal
  • Usage and analytics data is retained for up to 24 months

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal retention obligations
  • Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using the link in any email we send
  • Restrict Processing: Request that we limit how we use your information in certain circumstances

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at oneclickimmigration@gmail.com.

8. California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your CCPA rights, contact us at oneclickimmigration@gmail.com.

9. Data Security

We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These include encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure payment processing via PCI DSS-compliant Stripe, restricted employee access to personal data, and regular security audits.

However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

Our Site and services are not directed at individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have done so, we will promptly delete such information.
